A £3.4 million investment saw a complete refurbishment of David Lloyds Chigwell leisure centre, including a new hydrotherapy pool, two saunas and a steam room.
Eden Clay was contracted to carry out the tiling of the spa, changing rooms, indoor swimming pool area and sauna room floor. Although the tiles had already been specified, we were tasked with specifying the installation materials, including subfloor and wall preparation. With different areas being ready at varying intervals, the main challenge with this project was making our labour available as each phase was ready to ensure we didn’t hold up subsequent trades. With up to 10 tilers at our disposal, this is one of the main strengths of Eden Clay’s contract department.
